What is the Occasion?

I have been looking at this card for far too long...what occasion would you use it for? Someone mentioned earlier in a comment that Garden Collage by Stampin Up was one of their favorite stamp sets...I agree. I can't quit coloring it to go with some of my fun papers. It is very versatile. Also used the Stampin Up hole piercing tool on this card for a little detail in the corners. This card is sitting blank now waiting for its sentiment.

Valentine Glitz

These cards are for sale on Ebay.

Ok, I admit...much doesn't get by me on paper without glitter, rhinestones or embossing. For some reason it just isn't "done" until some or all of the those elements are added to a card. I think the Cuttlebug was one the best little inventions ever. Before I bought the Cuttlebug (which you can get with a % off coupon at Micheal's) I tried to use a rolling pin with an embossing folder. It didn't work...and I looked like a retard if you can imagine the scene.

I have been working on several cards over the last few day and have finally got around to photos and posting. On this card I stamped the greeting before I embossed the paper using the Cuttlebug. Another great tip...when paper is on sale at Hobby Lobby, go find the individual sheets of glitter paper (used on the two small hearts). It is a thicker paper, but you can still get it to work on a punch.

SU Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set
Stamp: Happy Valentines Day...stamp bought at Micheal's or Hobby Lobby
SU Heart Punch

SU Bird Punch
SU Trio Flower Punch

Cellophane Bags 2"x8"

Staff Gifts

Here is this year's gifts for the staff at my school. Each year I come up with something for 50-60 people since I really want to give everyone something at Christmas.

Each package contains 8 Hershey's Nuggets in a 2"x8" self-sealing cellophane wrapper. I used Stampin Up's Its a Wrap Holiday stamp Make Merry on white Avery labels (bought at Wal-Mart). There are 30 Avery labels per page and a total of 300 labels in a package so one package can go a long way. In between the Make Merry labels I created a coordinating label just to help make it look more interesting. At the top, I used the Stampin Up Decorative Label punch and a stamp from the Christmas Punch stamp set. The toppers stick very easily to the cellophane with Tombo Mono Adhesive.

New snowflake punch

Prepare to see several cards that I have used my new EK success snowflake punch on. Spent more hours than you would believe coming up with the argyle card. Originally the cream glittery flakes were for another card, but I just couldn't make them work with the other paper. Argyle was created from white paper, embossing and then rubbing an ink pad over the surface of the paper. I used red ink (really!). The card and the pic both look more pink than red. Stampin Up set used: Party Punch. Cards are 4" x 5.5" (A2).

Now this card was made with little time involvement...credit for so much time already spent on the first card! I love little details on cards like rhinstones and brads. The neatest new item I have found is a cut and emboss folder by Cuttlebug. It creates the kraft colored base under the make merry. Stampin Up greeting comes from the Berry Christmas stamp set. Cards are 4" x 5.5" (A2).

Make Merry!

Christmas cards...hard to believe, but I am again in the time that if I dont start now then I wont have enough cards ready for the rush of the season. It is amazing how time really does fly. Here I used a non-traditional yellow as the backdrop. The stamp set is Berry Christmas from Stampin Up. The patterned paper was created using the poinsettia stamp and stamping with first and second generation images.

Center Step Again!

June is the month for both my parents and my husband's parent's anniversary. They are only a week apart so I made another Center Step card. This time I had some inspiration from Mommacharles at Splitcoast Stampers. The embossing and laced punched out square on the inspiration card started my thinking. At first I had a bird on my card also, but with the saying I removed the bird and put on two butterflies. In my previous post I have listed the link for how to make this card.

Center Step Card - Anniversary

The ability to remember dates for birthdays, anniversaries, etc must be genetically linked. I am terrible at it and earlier today my husband reminded me that today is my parents anniversary. How many years have they been married, you might ask. Well, lets see... I think maybe married in 1971...maybe it was 72'. I hope it is not 71'...that would make 40 years married and aren't you supposed to do something for a 40 year anniversary. Something like a dinner or such. Anyway, I can make a card so I went to Splitcoaststampers to look up an interesting card tutorial I had seen earlier. You can find it here: Splitcoaststampers.com

I thought it turned out pretty cute and was fairly easy to make. Here are the pictures:

Graduation is getting close. Here are some cards that I am making and selling on Ebay (laura513). I am using lots of embossing and the graduation stamps are from Stampin Up. Tried to do a variety of arrangements with the same elements. Inside has "Congratulations".

Birthday Card

I found this stamp set at a yard sale and loved the sayings. It is "Words by Wanda." The image on the front is water colored using Close to My Heart water color pencils and aqua painters from Stampin Up. Sometimes coloring images is almost therapeutic. Card measures 4"x5 1/2".

Cupcake Toppers

Always trying to find new ideas for using the scallop punches. Tonight I made cupcake toppers using only punches. These would be cute for lots of different themes.

Party Favor Treats

Using the large Stampin Up tag punch, I created these Easter favors that hold a Hershey's Nugget. The second picture shows a side view with the nugget. I intend to start making tutorials on my projects to share with you. Trying to type the directions just are not the same as showing someone. I will have to do some research on the best way to film while looking down at a desk.
