Birthday Blossoms blinged out!

There will probably be a shortage of rhinestones around here when I get done. I absolutely went crazy with the bling on these cards, but it so makes for a pretty card.

These cards feature the new "Birthday Blossoms" SU set on page 9 in the 2015 annual catalog.

The Other Half: June 2015 Paper Pumpkin

A few days ago I posted the bright, cheery, floral cards (and alternative projects) of the June 2015 Happy Thoughts Paper Pumpkin. Today I have the other half of the kit featuring greens, blues, browns and tans. The card on the right is an easel card.

Paper Pumpkin - Happy Thoughts June 2015

My Paper Pumpkin arrived and I have anxiously been waiting for time to create with it. Each month a fully designed project kit arrives from Stampin Up in an adorable box filled with stamps, ink and paper – everything cut and ready to go.

June 2015 YouTube Video from Stampin Up featuring "Happy Thoughts" Paper Pumpkin.

This month the kit included enough materials to make 8 cards and 8 lined envelopes (4 each of 2 designs) I created 2 cards of the flower design and then I have altered the additional card bases...One into a box and the other into a mug...both great ways to give a little gift with the matching card.

The box on the left utilizes the kraft card base. This card is what I refer to as a "2-4-6-8" box.
To create this box:

The mug also uses the kraft card base.

Paper Pumpkin is a great way to get to craft without having to gather multiple materials. It is a planned project that allows you to follow the instructions provided in the kit or to use the kit contents in various other ways.

Kits are $19.95 monthly (that INCLUDES shipping). You can skip or cancel at anytime. Give one a try. I have never been disappointed yet!

Birthday Party Scrapbook Layout

Took a class tonight at our NEW, local scrapbook store. Its like a dream come true. Dreamy papers, adorable embellishments and on and on. The only way it could get better is if Barnes and Noble set up shop in town. We around here know that wont happen with a population of 1200. Heck, we cant keep the RedBox folks happy...bye bye RedBox. BOO!

After class I gathered up some inpiration and headed home. I haven't done a scrapbook layout for months, maybe even over a year. I have hoards (literally) of paper and have been doing the self talk about pairing down my stashes. Its just time for it to go. I'm thinking that if I type it here, perhaps it will be more of a firm action item...or, well...I'll keep talking to myself about it.

Hope you enjoy looking at the layout. I dug out some old block style layout templates to keep everything straight.

Crazy about the stamp set "Crazy For You"

I completely went past this stamp set in the Occasions Catalog for several weeks. It didn't catch my eye because I thought, "Oh, another sentiments stamp set." I guess that is how it sometimes goes. As I was looking through the catalog again I was trying to figure out projects for my April Stamp Clubs. I already had the coordinating punches for this set so I ordered it (I did the bundle to get the thinlits dies also). Wow wish I had ordered it in the beginning because I am crazy about it! This set is so fast and easy to use and the stamped words with the thinlits add a nice mix of fonts.

Make sure that you order the photopolymer version...this is the set that is clear and you can see through for placement. There is a link below if you need it.
