Happy Birthday Owl using 2-5-7-10 Box

My nephew is turning 2 and I made this for his birthday.
It has his gift inside. I used Velcro circles under the flap to allow it to open and close easily.

I love this owl...he is so cute and can't wait transform him into valentines and other occasions. The base is a 2-5-7-10 box (tutorial video below) and the face is 1/2 of a SU Top Note Die.

Congratulations Grad Gift

We have several grads to "Congradulate" this year. I made this gift for them, instead of a card, and I plan on placing money in the back along with a small note. The cellophane bag measures 2"x8" and is resealable. Each scallop is attached to a mini peppermint patty. At the top, I used the Modern Label Punch and adhered it with SNAIL adhesive.

Here's the Stampin Up! supply list for the
Congratulations Grad Gift:
  • Stamps: Lovely Letters Alphabet #115030 (wood) and #127796 (clear)
  • Ink:  Real Red #126949
  • Card Stock: Whisper White #100730,  Basic Gray #121044, Real Red #102482
  • Tools/Accessories:  1 1/4" Circle Punch #119861, 1 3/8" Circle Punch #119860, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch #119854, Decorative Label Punch #120907, Snail Adhesive #104332 (refill is #104331)

Floral District Gable Box with Rosette

My Stampin Up order finally arrived today. I couldn't wait to see the new paper in person and make something. I made another gable box using the Floral District DSP. I used the directions found over at Split Coast Stampers...click {HERE} for the link. The paper rosette is a strip of DSP measuring 1-1/2" by 12" and scored at every 1/4". It makes a perfect size rosette for most projects.

Here is a side view of the rosette and box.

To hold the top together,
I used Modern Label Punch and fastened it with a silver brad.

Used the Stampin' Around Wheel (green flowers around the bottom of the box) before assembling the box. These flowers are on all four sides.

Close up view of rosette. Layered with scallop punch and hand cut flower and leaves from Betsy's Blossoms stamp set.

Here's the Stampin Up! supply list for the  Floral District Gable Box:
  • Stamps: Besty's Blossoms #126006
  • Ink:  Gumball Green #126861, Tangerine Tango #111834
  • Card Stock: Whisper White #100730, Floral District DSP #126919
  • Tools/Accessories:  Stampin' Up Dimesionals #104430, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch #119854, Extra Large Oval Punch #119859, Lucky Limeade Ribbon #126060, Betsy's Blooms Stampin' Around Wheel #126943

Teacher Appreciation Gifts Gable Box

May 7th is Teacher Appreciation Week and as a gift to the teachers in my school, I have chosen to make this cute little "Gable Box" that is created from a single sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" paper. I stamped directly on the paper after I scored and cut, but before folding and glueing. The belly band around the box is 1" thick and 12" long. I put the teacher's first name monogram on each box to personalize it.

For the treat inside, I have placed 5 cookies inside a plastic bag with a twisty-tie.
